Beyer Subaru & Senior Services of Alexandria- So no senior goes hungry

Few things are more essential and more comforting than a nutritious meal. Meals on Wheels is a life-sustaining progra
m that allows seniors who are unable to leave their homes to shop or who have difficulty preparing a meal, to have two healthy meals a day delivered to their homes.

Senior Services of Alexandria provides 365 days a year in partnership with the City of Alexandria, loyal volunteers and donors.

Beyer Subaru in Alexandria partnered with Senior Services of Alexandria last year, during the 2012 Subaru Share The Love Event. Mr. Donald S. Beyer Jr., a long-term supporter of the Meals on Wheels association, has now evolved the once year dealership participation, to be comprised of a weekly route in which all the dealership employees rotate deliver meals to the citizens in the Alexandria community.

During the dealership's D
ecember 2013 staff meeting, Mr. Beyer announced the redesigned, long-term partnership to the staff.  Sharing his memories of Meals on Wheels experiences over the years with his father and providing a volunteer based opportunity to the employees to join the weekly route.

From the sales and service specialists, to the dedicated technicians in the Don Beyer Volvo, Subaru, and Kia shop, the interest in participation, has exceeded the expectations of all.

Don Beyer Volvo, Subaru
and Kia in Alexandria looks forward to building a longstanding relationship with Senior Services of Alexandria and the members of the Alexandria community, to ensure no senior goes hungry.
