Subaru of America continues to demonstrate its commitment to making a difference beyond the road. Through the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative, Subaru and its retailer network have now supported more than 550,000 cancer patients and their families nationwide during over a decade of partnership with Blood Cancer United®.

As part of the Subaru Love Promise®, this impactful program provides financial assistance, comfort items, and heartfelt messages of encouragement to individuals facing blood cancer treatment and recovery.

Subaru Loves to Care® Continues Its Mission of Compassion

For more than 10 years, Subaru has partnered with Blood Cancer United®, formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, to help patients and families facing blood cancer diagnoses.

Every June, Subaru retailers across the country participate in the Subaru Loves to Care initiative by working with local hospitals and cancer treatment centers to deliver warm blankets, care packages, and handwritten messages of hope to patients undergoing treatment.

The initiative reflects Subaru's belief in being More Than a Car Company® by supporting communities when they need it most.

Supporting More Than 550,000 Cancer Patients and Families

Cancer treatment can be physically, emotionally, and financially challenging. Through Subaru Loves to Care, Subaru and its retailers help ease some of those burdens by providing comfort and support directly to patients.

Since the program began, more than 550,000 cancer patients and family members have received assistance through the initiative, making it one of Subaru's most impactful community programs.

This milestone highlights Subaru's ongoing dedication to helping people during some of life's most difficult moments.

Financial Assistance for Pediatric Blood Cancer Families

In addition to providing comfort items and emotional support, Subaru and participating retailers are helping fund critical financial assistance for pediatric blood cancer households through the Blood Cancer United Urgent Need Program.

The program is expected to provide support to more than 1,800 pediatric patient households, helping families cover essential non-medical expenses such as:

  • Transportation
  • Housing
  • Food
  • Utilities
  • Treatment-related travel expenses

This assistance helps families focus on what matters most—supporting their loved ones through treatment and recovery.

Subaru Matches Donations Throughout June

From June 1 through June 30, 2026, Subaru is encouraging customers and community members to join the effort by supporting Blood Cancer United.

To expand the impact of the program, Subaru will match online donations dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000 total. Additionally, Subaru Gear will donate $1 for every Health & Wellness Badge of Ownership ordered during June, up to $5,000.

These contributions help ensure that more patients and families receive the care, resources, and encouragement they need throughout their cancer journey.

The Subaru Love Promise® in Action

The Subaru Love Promise® serves as the foundation for Subaru's commitment to supporting people, communities, and important causes nationwide.

Over the past 20 years, Subaru of America and the Subaru of America Foundation have donated more than $340 million to charitable causes and community initiatives while employees have contributed more than 115,000 volunteer hours.

Programs like Subaru Loves to Care continue to showcase Subaru's dedication to making a positive difference both inside and outside the automotive industry.
