Subaru’s Rally Legacy Takes Center Stage at Goodwood
Subaru Motorsports USA is set to thrill fans as it makes its highly anticipated return to the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed, happening July 10–13, 2025. Following a record-breaking debut in 2024, Subaru’s team is back to showcase its rally heritage and cutting-edge engineering at one of the world’s most prestigious motorsport events.
Scott Speed and Project Midnight Aim for Another Record
After capturing the fastest internal combustion engine (ICE) time in 2024, Scott Speed and the WRX: Project Midnight are ready for another unforgettable run. Project Midnight—renowned for its nearly 10,000 rpm redline and flame-throwing hood—will take on Goodwood’s legendary hill climb once again, facing off against some of the world’s most powerful electric vehicles. “Project Midnight is an amazing car,” says Speed. “And Goodwood is a special event. I can’t wait to run it up that hill again.”
Travis Pastrana Returns to Rally Glory
Joining the excitement is Subaru Motorsports USA’s Travis Pastrana, stepping back into the WRX ARA25 to tackle Goodwood’s gravel rally stage. Known for his fearless driving style and larger-than-life personality, Pastrana will pilot a car built to dominate the American Rally Association Open 4WD class. “I’m stoked to be in the O4WD car again!” says Pastrana. “It’ll take a second to get used to it, but I always have fun driving for that crowd. We’re gonna have a great time!”
A Tribute to Colin McRae and Subaru’s Motorsport Heritage
This year’s Festival also celebrates the legacy of rally legend Colin McRae, marking 30 years since his championship season. Subaru’s presence at Goodwood holds added significance, with several of McRae’s cars running alongside the WRX ARA25—a powerful tribute to the brand’s storied motorsport history.
