Subaru Motorsports USA delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, with driver Travis Pastrana and co-driver Rhianon Gelsomino securing the overall win on Missouri’s fast and demanding gravel stages.

Competing in the Limited 4WD class behind the wheel of the Subaru WRX ARA25L, the duo overcame one of the most competitive fields in recent American Rally Association (ARA) history, which included a record nine Rally2 entries in the top class.

Known for its high-speed sections and sweeping terrain, the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood challenges drivers with blind crests, fast corners, and constantly changing road conditions. Starting first on the road, Pastrana and Gelsomino faced the added difficulty of clearing loose gravel, which can reduce traction and slow early stage times.

Despite this disadvantage, the team showed strong pace from the outset, finishing the opening stage sixth overall and second in class. Momentum continued to build through day one, highlighted by a stage-winning performance. Although that stage result was later adjusted due to evolving rally conditions, the team remained firmly in contention heading into the final day.

On Saturday, the WRX ARA25L demonstrated its full capability, handling the demanding stages with speed and precision. Pastrana and Gelsomino steadily climbed the leaderboard, moving into third overall before the final loop.

In a decisive push, the team captured the overall lead on the opening stage of the final loop, building a 16.4-second advantage. They extended that lead through the remaining stages, ultimately securing the overall victory and placing the Subaru WRX ARA25L at the top of the podium.

The win provides strong early-season momentum for Subaru Motorsports USA as the 2026 ARA National Championship continues. Next up is the Kubota Olympus Rally, taking place April 17–19 in Shelton, Washington. This event will introduce a new challenge with tighter, more technical roads and over 200 miles of competitive stages, making it the longest rally on this year’s schedule.

Subaru Motorsports USA continues to showcase the brand’s commitment to performance, durability, and innovation through competition at the highest levels of rally racing.
